Personal Story of Anita Pringle

Since my early teen years I always wanted to be counselor. As a
child of alcoholic parents I witnessed firsthand the effects of
addiction on individuals and families. My parents always asked
me why I brought home people and their problems, rather than
kittens and puppies like most teenagers.

My journey towards counseling began with 30+ years of local
church ministry. My faith affirms that we are not defined by
our past or present circumstances and that transformation is
possible.

Circumstances in my life presented me with the opportunity to raise a non-biological child and marry the love of my life. I lost my husband to cancer after a few short years and my child to addiction. I have walked thru the death of many family members and a career change in mid-life.

My life has had many pathways and choices which have led me to experience grief and loss, family addiction, career changes, family issues, faith issues, anxiety and depression. Working through these struggles and with faith in God I have found wholeness and hope.
